DISGUSTING! I found a worm in my salmon. ๐Ÿ˜ญ Loss my appetite. I thought this was a pretty high end Japanese restaurant. The worse thing is that the waiter told me itโ€™s just blood, I donโ€™t know if she is just lying or she genuinely did not know but look at the images, this is definitely not blood, it is literally sharp at one point and it curves like a worm ๐Ÿชฑ (You have to zoom in on the close up photo of the worm to literally see that it is not blood). Shocking part is that they did not apologize. By the way this was called the Shokado Bento Box. Never coming back to this restaurant. Highly recommended not to eat here. I am scared of eating out now, thanks ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿฟ Osawa for saving me money in the future! ๐Ÿ˜–๐Ÿคข๐Ÿคฎ

We visited with our family after hearing great reviews about the food. The atmosphere was wonderful, and our server provided excellent service and presentation. Unfortunately, the food didnโ€™t quite live up to the hype. The sushi was decent but fairly ordinary, and the steak in the bento box was disappointing. The sauce lacked flavor, and the meat wasnโ€™t very tender. Overall, we enjoyed the ambiance and appreciated the outstanding service, but the food itself was average and left us wanting more.

Came here with my partner for a brunch outing with a reservation. Parking in a structure in Pasadena is a must with a small walk to this restaurant. (paid parking). First initial thought is that the restaurant is clean. We were greeted by the front receptionist and were immediately seated despite arriving a bit earlier for our reservation. Osawa has moderate amount of seating, modern interior, open sushi bar with chefs on the spot, a pleasant vibe when enjoying your meal. Staff is pretty attentive and checked multiple times, clearing plates when emptied, refills, etc. 1. We ordered the Crunchy Cucumbers as a appetizer and it was of course the first dish to come out. 16 pieces of cucumber, mixed in sauce, and as the name of the dish, it's crunchy and very savory. Nothing too special but it was very delicious to start the meal. It's also a great palate cleanser for after the meal, plus points for a shareable dish. 2. We were feeling some of the roll choices but for this occasion we decided on the salmon roll, which didn't disappoint at all. Usually for rolls, there would be a lot of excess rice but this roll had the perfect amount, which mixed really well with the dressing, salmo

An exceptional restaurant to dine in! There is always something a little different on their menu so always check out their specials! Sushi is great quality and fresh. You can choose from all kinds of sushi, sashimi, rolls, bento boxes, shabu shabu options, and on and on and on! Service is attentive and staff are always informative. Dessert is always amazing. Their black sesame panna cotta is just divine! There is always rotating flavors and ingredients on their menu to keep you coming back for more. Always a delight!

This restaurant was fabulous! Service: the staff were very friendly, polite and knowledgeable! we were seated quite quickly despite what looked like a busy Wednesday evening. Food: everything was phenomenal. We were a party of three and shared most dishes. The cucumber was fantastic. It was a bit of a citrusy sesame vinaigrette that I would love to make it home. The Yuzu daikon was refreshing, There was a fish with daikon stew that was also great. The bento was a good portion and unique side dishes like carrots, cucumber, seaweed, the salmon and steak were well cooked. If youโ€™ve never had barracuda, check it out on the daily menu! I would explore this menu more the next time! The dessert was the most memorable. It was a raindrop mochi with black bean and ginger and a very nice black bean syrup. Will definitely go back to try other dishes!
